CONNECTICUT ENERGY CODE
Current State Energy Code: 2022 CSBC
Model Code: 2021 IECC
Previous State Energy Code: 2018 CSBC
Previous Model Code: 2015 IECC
The 2022 Connecticut State Building Code (energy efficiency chapter) is based on the 2021 IECC. This edition of the CSBC went into effect on 10/01/2022. The previous version of Connecticut’s energy code was based on the 2015 IECC.
Connecticut's energy code is a combination of the IECC's provisions plus some specific state amendments. Even with the state amendments, the code is still equivalent to the 2021 IECC according to the DOE.
