BER conducts the majority of its business in a virtual setting. Therefore, our employees enjoy the ability to work from the comfort of their home office. However, some travel may be required. Our Field Quality Assurance team members travel throughout the US performing field QA.

Director of Performance Services
Level: Director
Subordinate to the: Executive Staff
Manages the following positions: Department lead management
This role specifically reports to the Executive Staff and works in cohesion with the Operations team at BER while providing oversight and assistance to production team leads. It is our mission to provide the best customer service in the industry and this position is pivotal to that success.
- Managing daily operations across BERs performance service teams, including HERSPro, ProServ and GreenBuild services, by working with team managers and/or team leads to evaluation and improving effectiveness of all processes currently in use,
- Serve as business development and sales lead for BER performance services, in coordination with BER’s business development team
- Coordinate with ProCert on cross-disciplinary initiatives, to ensure that the performance services team is contributing to any technical training development needs, and that professional training and education offerings are meeting the needs of BER’s performance service customers.
- Attend conferences, meetings and events on behalf of BER
- Meet both virtually and in-person with top BER customers to ensure their satisfaction with BER services
- Serve on committees, task groups, etc that benefit the interests of BER.
- Develop, implement, and review policies and procedures for effectiveness,
- Data analysis and complex reporting regarding operational efficiency,
- Serve as the point of contact for performance service team leads to bring questions and concerns,
- Research alternative methods to obtain key metric data and software integration for smoother operation,
- Work in cohesion with teams to ascertain areas that need development,
- Work in cohesion with the Operations team and Executive staff to ensure proper communication both internally and externally that support BER’s high level of customer service.
- Set goals and issue guidance on avenues to completion,
- Evaluate budgetary concerns for each supervised department and provide potential solutions to the Executive staff,
- Work directly with other members of the Operations team and Executive staff to identify areas of concern and set priorities,
- Participate in annual employee reviews specific to the performance service teams,
- Identify workflow issues and ascertain if additional staff are necessary,
- Participate in the hiring process for each supervised team.
